There are so many kinds of people here that are so different from back home. It'd be a bit intimidating if it wasn't so exciting.
So, in a way, it's kind of like a family business thing. More working to help the family out than the monetary gain. Still, at least you learned how to make good coffee, right?
it's actually incredibly boring, once you get past the environmental changes. i'm not being tortured or drugged or having my kidneys stolen or anything. it barely seems worth it. you?
Tokyo, huh? I lived there for a bit when my parent's work took them there. They had to go overseas for a year, and that's how I ended up in Inaba in the [CENSORED DUE TO ATLUS NEVER GIVING DETAILS] prefect. I don't know if you've heard of it, but it's the last stop in the [ALSO INSERT TRAIN DETAILS HERE] line.
It was different being in a small rural town compared to the big city life...they thought I'd end up being bored there but...well...it's a long story.
I'm glad you met your friends as well that way and that they were able to help you out.
[He's not smiling writing all of this, don't be silly.]
Inaba... I think I've heard of it, but I've never been there. [Isn't that where those weird murders happened a few years back? He remembers it being on the news...
He also remembers some connection to Inaba and that idol, Risette. But not much else.]
I'm from [WHO EVEN KNOWS ATLUS DIDN'T SAY] originally. Don't worry if you haven't heard of it, it's practically nowhere. [He has no love for it at this point.] I came to like Tokyo better, in a lot of ways. I guess because a lot of things happened there. Mostly good things.
I'd like to hear that long story sometime. Not being bored in a small town is a feat.

Comfort is good. I like ramen. And I know how to make curry.
Do you like cooking or just food itself?
no subject
i don't mind cooking when i have to but you need time for that
sometimes you just don't have it so i guess it's mostly more about liking food
no subject
That's okay. Just liking food is good. I knew someone who used to run a food blog.

It wasn't too bad.
It doesn't matter what goes in the coffee. It's about mastering the pour over technique.

I think I'd like to try this coffee.

[Ah good, a fellow bond-lover.]
Exactly. I hope I can get to know everyone.
My guardian ran a coffee shop, so I would brew coffee there. I didn't get paid for it, though...

[Except the talking cat.
Also, the idea of being part of Sojiro's "family" business makes him smile - he's glad no one can see it. Embarrassing.]
Yeah, something like that. I'm grateful that he taught me. He taught me to make pretty good curry, too.

When I moved to Tokyo, I didn't know anyone at first, and things were hard. But then I met my friends, and they saved me, in more ways than one.
So I understand.

For Elidibus
Is knowing if they were real that important? Examples of real heroes like that are harder to find in my world.
I guess I could tell you about the Phantom Thieves.
no subject
Stories are not reliable. But I suppose they still have lessons to teach.
Do you mean to suggest that the "Phantom Thieves" are the names of heroes?
[ that sounds fake ]
no subject
Yes, they are. They appeared in our capital city last year, changing the hearts of villains so they would confess their crimes.
[Is it okay to talk about yourself like this? Well, Akira is talking about his friends as much as he is himself, so it's fine.]

I didn't say that. It was just a fact. Life doesn't tend to be kind, and I think it's irresponsible to falsely hold that it should.
